Through the Cosmos

2025, MONOPRINT, ACRYLIC ON ARCHIVAL PAPER, IMAGE 22 X 16” ON 30 X 22”, UNFRAMED

This painting grew out of my awe at recent images from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, Hubble, and other observatories — glimpses into a universe so vast and intricate that it feels almost beyond comprehension. Seeing newborn stars forming inside dusty clouds, galaxies evolving, and distant light traveling across unimaginable distances shifted something in me.

The gold dots scattered across this dark field become both stars and moments — small points of brightness suspended in a deep, moving space. Subtle brushstrokes sweep through the surface like cosmic currents, suggesting time, motion, and the invisible forces shaping everything we see.

This work is not meant to describe the universe so much as to sit inside its wonder — a reminder that we are part of something far larger, older, and more mysterious than ourselves.
