Teapot
2024, watercolor on paper, 14 x 11"

This piece is my quiet nod to centuries of blue-and-white ceramics—specifically, the richly detailed porcelain traditions of Chinese art. The scene inside the teapot is invented: a boy fishing, lost in a moment of calm. Painted in indigo watercolor, it echoes the natural dyes and intricate storytelling often found on antique porcelain.

Teapot is both a study and a small act of homage. A simple object, holding a world.
