2025, monoprint, acrylic on archival paper, image is 14 x 12” on 16 x 14” paper, unframed
This monoprint looks like a system — circles, grids, repeating logic —
but it refuses to behave like one.
It borrows the visual language of computation,
of markets, of artificial intelligence,
but everything here is slightly off:
misaligned, smudged, human.
That’s intentional.
This piece quietly mocks the idea that anything —
especially a machine —
can truly calculate or control the complexity of life.
What appears to be order
is really just a fragile pattern
trying to pretend it knows what it’s doing.
